About Me
I’m Isaac Zur, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Mental Performance Consultant. I provide clinical counseling for adults and adolescents, and I also work as a mental performance coach for athletes and performers who want to strengthen their mindset, manage stress, and feel more in control in sport, school, or life.

My background includes experience in mental health counseling and performance science. Clinically, I’ve worked with individuals and couples, supported clients in outpatient mental health settings, and helped people navigate anxiety, stress, life transitions, and relationship challenges. In the performance world, I’ve worked with athletes of all levels from youth to collegiate, elite, and Olympic, and collaborated with coaches, teams, and athletic departments. I also served as a mind health professional with the Long Island Nets.

I moved to the United States in 2010 and built my academic, professional, and personal life here. That journey taught me perseverance, adaptability, and the value of steady, consistent effort, qualities that shape the way I show up for the people I work with.

Outside of my professional roles, I come from an athletic and martial arts background. I hold a black belt in karate, a blue belt in jiu-jitsu, played as a semi-professional soccer goalkeeper, and practiced skydiving as a sport in my twenties. These experiences give me a practical understanding of the demands athletes and performers face and inform the way I support them.

How I Work
I aim to create a grounded, supportive space where people feel understood and equipped to grow. My approach blends:
-
clear, practical tools
-
mental skills training
-
evidence-informed counseling
-
self-awareness and emotional regulation
-
and a focus on building long-term resilience
Whether we’re working on anxiety, stress, confidence, or performance under pressure, the goal is always the same: helping you feel steady, capable, and more in control of your life and goals.

A Personal Note
Outside of my professional work, I stay grounded through training in jiu-jitsu and playing soccer. These practices remind me of the importance of discipline, resilience, and balance, qualities I bring into my work with clients.
